Tell us the appliance
Open fire, wood burner, Rayburn, thatch. That plus your postcode is enough to book the job properly. If you are not sure what you have, describe what it looks like — that is usually enough.
How it works
No surveys, no upsell, no waiting in for a four-hour window. You get a named arrival time and a text the morning of the appointment.

You choose a date and an arrival window that suits you. Andrew confirms it personally, because he is the one driving to it — you are requesting a slot, not booking a diary you cannot see.

Dust sheets down, vacuum sealed to the hearth, brush and rod the full length of the flue, then a smoke-draw test to prove it vents. The room goes back as we found it.

Sent before we leave the drive, with photographs of the flue and anything we think you should keep an eye on.
Before we arrive
At least twenty-four hours before the appointment. A warm flue cannot be swept safely.
Move ornaments, rugs and anything breakable from around the fireplace. We bring sheets for the rest.
Long drive, farm track, narrow lane, no parking — say so when you book. It is the normal week here, not a problem, but it changes the timings.
You do not need to move furniture, empty the grate or clean anything beforehand. That is the job.
